About The Drain Medic

The Drain Medic is Rafael Zeligzon. He has been doing this work for over 30 years, and it is still a one man promise: you call, he answers, he comes out, he clears the drain.

The business is based in Newington and covers all of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. He works for businesses and homeowners alike. Restaurants, stores, and apartment buildings that need a line open and cannot wait until morning, and houses where the main line has backed up and the basement is about to flood.

Rafael brings the heavy machines on the truck, including rooters that cut through roots and a jetter that washes grease and scale off the pipe walls. When a camera is needed to see what is going on underground, he runs one. And when a pipe is broken for good, the job does not stop at cleaning. Excavation is arranged, the bad section comes out, and a new line goes in.

“When a customer calls us with a severe backup, they aren’t just looking for a tool; they are looking for immediate peace of mind. We treat every property like it’s our own.”
